Footnote

We offer two media types: the superior granulated GranuCult® and the cost-efficient powdered NutriSelect® culture media, depending on your needs. The designations basic, plus, or prime are added to indicate the quality control level, from basic quality control to standard QC plus to prime for full regulatory compliance.

General description

Buffered Peptone Water is rich in nutrients and produces high resuscitation rates for sub lethally injured bacteria and intense growth. The phosphate buffer system prevents bacterial damage caused by changes in the pH of the medium. Peptone including enzymatic digest of casein acts as a source of carbon, nitrogen, vitamins and minerals whilst sodium chloride maintains the osmotic balance.GranuCult® is our new brand name for our existing granulated dehydrated culture media which apply to new EN ISO 11133:2014 and various other ISO standards and FDA-BAM / USDA-FSIS methods for testing of food and water samples. All these media are currently being updated to be fully compliant to the latest version of these standards and regulations with respect to composition and quality control and will be available shortly.
